The woodlands township lifeguard10/13/2023 Each pool has it’s own personality and something a little different to offer. We moved here in late July a few years ago, and my kids and I hit 10 of the 14 pools before school started. Believe it or not, there will come a point this summer when we are no longer dripping wet and it will be hot. I’ve never felt like more of a robot in my life.In the spirit of all things wet & wild, I wanted to share information about all of the pools in The Woodlands and other water parks close by. Oh and if you have tattoos, you have to cover them up. Everyone is probably depressed after what they’ve had to endure for the past year and a half. The breakroom is the loneliest part - most people sit by themselves. It’s just a long hallway of white walls and old photos. It’s a soul sucking building other than the windows that look out to the beautiful pond. There was no opportunity for advancement, at least in my department. I remember working 12-14 hour days for several months during the pandemic. The only remote work opportunities we had were during an emergency. I worked through several emergencies/disasters while working at the Township, including several hurricanes and the pandemic, but work was always the priority and mental health came last. They take advantage of salaried employees. There is no work/life balance and you MUST report to the office everyday (unless you work in certain departments where the rules don’t apply to them). You couldn’t have paid me enough to stay there and endure the psychological stress of my job.
